We’ve just launched Highsoft Lab, our special playground run by our R&D and Innovation Team.
Our Lab not only showcases all the cool stuff we’re working on, but it’s also a collaborative place for you to test drive our experiments and give valuable feedback that will guide us as we refine our pre-alpha ideas into finished products.
Our First Experiment: A New Highcharts Editor
The first experiment we’d love for you to check out is our next-generation Highcharts Editor, a new and improved version of our standard WYSIWYG chart editor.
A Combo of New and Familiar Features

The new editor includes many convenient features of the old version. To start, you can load dummy data with one click or upload your own CSV data.
A cool new feature of the next-gen editor is that it recommends series types based on the kind of data you upload. If you don’t like the editor’s recommendations, you can always pick your preferred series type from a more extensive list in the editor’s properties settings.
Powered by ChatGPT
But the real power of the new Highcharts Editor comes from its integration with ChatGPT.
In the older editor, setting up advanced configurations required scrolling through a long screen of configurable options — an overwhelming task if you’re not familiar with the Highcharts API. But thanks to the power of ChatGPT, we’ve eliminated that firehose of choices and made it possible to customize your chart in seconds via simple written prompts.
No-Code Customization with Prompts
Define plot lines or bands, format data labels and tooltips, and adjust chart margins and axes properties without writing or modifying any code. There’s even an undo button to roll back your changes if you don’t like the results.

You can also stack your prompts with multiple instructions, making it quick and easy to apply your brand’s typography and colors in as few steps as possible.
Copy and Paste or Download Usable Code
Once you’re satisfied with your configuration, copy or download it as JSON, JavaScript or an HTML snippet that you can paste into your projects.
Customize to Fit Your Needs
The new Highcharts Editor is stack agnostic too, so it will seamlessly integrate into your existing CMS, and with the ability to incorporate optional LLM/Generative AI integrations, you can customize the editor to fit your exact use case.
Tell Us What You Think
To see all these new features in action, visit the Highsoft Lab and give our next-gen Highcharts Editor a try. Be sure to leave feedback. Even if it’s just a thumbs up (or down), your input is critical to our success.
