Highstock cross hair line highlighting scatter plot points in a weird way

hello all, I have two charts on my app, and I noticed in the smaller chart where I have the height and width customized that it highlights the points when it touches the right side, and not in the center like the larger chart. Why could this be?

upon further investigation it appear the crosshair is working as expected, but the data points for the scatter chart are shifted to the left of where they should be on the x-axis. Any ideas on why that could be happening?
