Inquiry regarding using custom icons for links in a map

Dear Highcharts community,

I am currently working on a project where I utilize Highcharts for map visualization. As part of this project, I am interested in customizing the appearance of links between locations on the map. Specifically, I would like to use custom icons instead of the default arrowheads or line connectors to represent these links.

Could you please provide guidance or examples on how to achieve this? I'm particularly interested in incorporating custom icons as endpoints for the links.

Thank you very much for your assistance and expertise.

Hi!

Thanks for getting in touch with us!

You can create your own markers on each mappoint end using marker.symbol property.

Demo: https://jsfiddle.net/BlackLabel/fcsxj9qb/

API: https://api.highcharts.com/highmaps/plo ... ker.symbol

Let me know if that's what you were looking for.
Best regards!

Hello,

I'm currently utilizing mappoint with flowmap, and at present, I have arrowheads displayed at the tip of the links. I'm interested in whether it's feasible to substitute the arrowheads with a custom symbol, such as an airplane icon.

For reference, I'm envisioning something along these lines: https://ibb.co/swNf6k4

Thank you.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to set custom symbol for the flowmap series points, but according to your graphic, if you're not using weighted links, you can simply use the mappoint series, as shown before.

Let me know if that was helpful for you.
