Looks very good. :)

But only problem I have, it does not work with vbulletin anymore. :(

With version 3 of highslide i can switch through all images in a thread. With version 4 the first image pops up correctly, but the next image, using the next or previous button, opens in a new window.

Hope, you understand me and I hope, that the reason is, because it's a beta version.+

Kind Regards, Stoebi

Thanks for letting me know Stoebi. Do you have a live version of this site, that I can download and test with version 4 beta?

Stoebi, I ran into the same issues you had, and I think they are fixed in the current beta at http://vikjavev.no/highslide/version4.html .

Thank you very much for your effort :)

Yes, it works, but in slideshow mode (playback) not all images are opens centered (ie jumps to the top of the screen - with highslide 3 I edited the href from href="#" to href="javascript:void(0)") . I think about a way to open the forum for you only (something to be prepared).

verstehst du sehr gut deutsch?

Kind Regards,

Great, I'll be waiting to see your live setup then.

I am not too fluid in German, but I know how to use Google Translate :)

Hi,
I tested the demo today and in IE6 it works almost ok, but not entirely. Some issues with remaining boxes. I don't know how much effort you want to put in IE6 behaviour, but it might be good to know.

Version 4 looks great BTW.

See the following images:
During the slideshow run:

After the slideshow is over:

Thanks espaan, I will fix the issues. They are related to focusing the appropriate elements for better accessibility.

I was checking the demos in the Highslide Configurator and clicked on number 10, "Mini gallery under one thumb, with dimming background". It worked as it should untill I changed the image and closed it. Then the picture closed but the dimmed background didn't - locking out the page until I reloaded it.

yes, "Transitions" was checked and so was all the other features!

Sup!

What do you think of adding an option to configure the appearance of dimming? Something like:

Code: Select all

dimmingAppearance: 'before/after', // Defines if dimming appears 'before' or 'after' the image have been loaded.
And not less important, the Highslide usage forum is missing an 'e' in one of the words.

Code: Select all

Technical support, bug reports, feature requEsts and more.
Cya.

Well... it IS a minimal improvement, and it complicates things and adds weight to the library for the 99.9% of users who don't use it. That's my opinion, but if many users think otherwise of course it must be considered.

I doubt that most users would even notice the difference. And you certainly wouldn't want to start dimming while "LOADING..." was still showing, since users wouldn't be able to see it, and wouldn't be able to click on it to cancel (because they couldn't see it, not because it wouldn't work).

Re: Version 4.0 beta published

In my opinion you should have upgraded a long time ago. The OP in this thread was posted 3 years ago.
See the changelog for differences between 4.0 and the current version.
