Semitransparent overlays

I have been working steadily on the 4.0 version since Easter, so no great updates have happened for version 3.3 lately. Except one small update, the possibility of adding a semitransparent png in an overlay without IE messing it up. Check example-no-border.html for an example of a simple Mac-style close button.

Cool! Any chance of telling us, when version 4 will be out and what kind of new features we can expect?

As I said one month ago, version 4.0 will probably ship in one month :)

Anyway, I am getting closer and I think it will not be too long until I can invite you to do beta testing. These are the main updates:
  • Crossfade with smooth resizing of the outlines and overlays.
  • Slideshow feature.
  • Intelligent controlbar that can be placed in an overlay or on the parent page.
  • Add header and rewrite headers and captions to be a subset of overlays. All overlays including header and caption can now be placed outside the image, for example to the right of the image. See picture below.
  • Allow resizing of images.
  • Full support for image maps through an option in the Configurator.
  • Image numbers like "Picture 1 of 7".
