Well, this is a really warped, grotesque site I'm developing for a very serious, very brilliant novelist/essayist whose hobby is collecting morbid photos of sex-change operations and crime scenes. I'm having fun with learning how to move layers around and, of course, I wanted to implement a highslide gallery show, which you will find on the page called "Ellie's Corner." If you actively refrain from seeing gross stuff don't visit the Ellie page, but I *am* pleased with the expander and related functions currently in play. http://talesfromthesewer.com Of course, without the generous help of Roadrash it probably wouldn't even work! Thanks, RR!

I'm using Highslide on my city's Tourism site to display videos and content on http://www.welcometostratford.com We've used it extensively on some of their satellite seasonal websites to display a variety of content. The site has a PHP - MySQL backend to pull content from the CMS and I added dhtml scroll bars to the windows to streamline the appearance.

Hello there!

I discovered Highslide JS when I was browsing someone's website who was using it. I thought, "Wow, this person's gallery is perfect. That's just what I need." Thank you very much Torstein!

I changed the color of the play button to green and the pause button to red. I also styled the thumbnail to look like a slide mount.

Here's an example:

With the help of Torstein and from reading this forum, I've just adapted Highslide for use in an iPhone (or Android, BlackBerry, etc.) web app... you can have a look at what I've done...

Note: This web app was designed for use on a smartphone or other portable devices, so it might not work correctly in your desktop browser (it works in Safari and Chrome, also Firefox, but it won't work in IE)

iPhone:
In Safari on your iPhone, go to http://www.passageweather.com/mobi
(It works best when saved to your Home Screen, as it eliminates the URL/toolbar and status bars)

Android:
In the Android browser, go to http://www.passageweather.com/mobi

BlackBerry and other smartphones:
Go to http://www.passageweather.com/mini

In the individual Forecasts pages, press a button (Wind, Pressure, etc.) and you can view the individual images as a slideshow or step through them... If you change the orientation of the phone the control bar changes position to better view the image... If you're using a desktop browser, just resize the browser to see it change...

Have a look and maybe it can help you... good luck... and thanks Hilde and Torstein for your help and hard work...

Bill

It is my implementation with our image slider. Czech language.
Warning: erotic shop :D
http://www.sexshopik.cz/fun-factory-cla ... icky-6947/ (No sex toy link, gallery)
http://www.sexshopik.cz/baterie-cr1220- ... icka-7603/ (No sex toy link, single image)

See difference between IE and FF in gallery page:)

I use Highslide not for pictures only.

I released two small projects with HighslideJS and I like it very much. But I'm still a beginner. Hopefully, I will dive much more deeper into all the possibilities of this genious framework sooner or later. There are some probs with the three URL in the "Methode"-Caption. They occur on Samsung smartphone-browser, but I don't mind. Maybe, it is because I don' t use HighslideJS in the correct way, because learning by doing is my way. The next homepage will be created soon. Highslide is my favorite for that. Thank you for that.
Here you are. My recent projects:

It's W3C-ready but the stupid Google-map causes a little CSS-error. I can't solve what Google screws up.

It's W3C ready too.

Here is a site I made for my brother Gerry who is a designer in Montreal: http://www.gerrylorange.com

You'll see that I use a couple of other scripts too.
