Showcase

Did you make your own twist to Highslide and want to show it to the world? Most developers use Highslide out of the box with all the default styling and behaviour. If you used Highslide in a creative way, please post a link in this thread. It will serve as inspiration to others, and my favourites will be picked for a showcase list.

I'm not sure how "innovative" my integration of Highslide is, but I did take the time to create my own CSS-based/generated image thumbnails, as well as customized overlay icons. You can see a few examples here:

Highslide is awesome. Thanks!
Cheers,

I'm finishing my integration...

I have made my PHP / Highslide JS integration of Picasaweb albums into my site. You can see it here: http://fotky.ladasoukup.cz/index.php
OK, I probably will do some more changes... but I'm quite satisfied with the look now.

btw: Thank You for the wonderful script. I'm going to buy the license for my site soon (I should and I want to).

Hi,
I've used Highslide throughout my website to enhance the viewing of my images. I've also used Highslide/Ajax to preview framed print selections on the store pages.

Please visit the site using this link http://www.jamespaulphotography.co.uk and I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks
James

A new site I've built for a client: http://www.stayhof.com/

Highslide is used extensively throughout the site for popup information, both in Flash format (for the maps) and iFrames (T&Cs)

But my favourite usage is for the online forms which uses HighSlide.

Customised frames.

At Torstein's suggestion - here's a link to my portfolio website. I've customised the .png graphics that comprise the popup frames to have a chiselled black/grey look, and echoed that throughout the site.

I've also 'nested' highslide popups so that clicking on a project eg 'Monopoly' popups a mini-portfolio highslide window with html content - clicking again opens a large highslide version of the thumbnail.

I'm a non-web graphic designer with only passing knowledge of html so have got this far with 'copy-and-paste' using Torsteins samples as a starting point.

I suspect you could drive a bus through the way I've put it together from a technical point of view - I really ought to try and disable the left-right arrow keys for instance. But hey - if it looks right - it is right - right?

Am currently embarking on a freelance/contract graphic design career so any work offers much appreciated.

I used Highslide to make up a complete homepage with several galleries and sub-galleries:

Well new to this forum and highslide, but recently implemented it on my new illustration portfolio.

Both for my illustrations and my wallpapers.

Out of the box really, integrated in an Ajax accordian site.

I think there are some png issues with ie6, but i have yet to look into that though.

Great script btw!

Hi
Great script, i used it on the portfolio of my website http://www.peax-webdesign.com
It's a standard use, so if you have any suggestions for improving it, don't hesitate to tell me. I'll have to check the tutorial to make the same for Flash portfolio

First a very big thank you to you Torenstein, for your work.

I am a beginner with js and would probably stay that way if i didnt came across your invention and all the help that you and other users provide on this forum/site.

Thank you for your enthusiasm!

http://www.flotaskydive.com -> click on the helmet :)

Each skydiver has one or more skydivers from the original picture "leaning" in his picture-> that is because this is/was their position..so that you know why that is

I would greatly appreciate your opinion, advice ...anything

Ps: the site shuld be viewed with 1280x1024 or higher resolution and latest browsers that support png transperency
free will

WOW!, excellent use mate, I LOVE the way you've positioned each window perfectly with a matching background - I'm inspired to copy your idea on one of my sites in the future ;)

Nice work on this page on the London Wasps. The team pictures show very well Highslide's fast way of switching between a list view and a detail view.

I've just re-launched a site using HighSlide extensively...

It's an old site (still using tables etc), but I was asked to update it with many new images.
I've used Highslide with a couple of customised overlays, a new navigation bar (with print option) and a small script to calculate how many images per page:
