Here is a website that i made. I wanted to try something new because the last website i used alot of flash, and it is a super heavy component to load. I can't remember how i came across HighSlide, but i am glad that i did =)
I love the way HighSlide works, i just added a little bit of my own touch.

Here are the links to the pages, i have updated the expander, using sound effects and easing, but i cant upload them right now, i will post again, once i have uploaded.

Highslide showcases signs!

Created with Highslide for a long-term client:

http://www.absolutesignage.co.uk/signs- ... rants.html

The benefits here are that Absolute Signage can take potential customers to their website and not only show them examples, but open 2, 3, all of the examples on the page and compare them!

Very useful tool indeed!

Thanks Torstein. Keep up the good work!

Highslide on new website

Hi

Thanks for Highslide...a fantastic piece of code. I am a novice website builder but have used this with Rapidweaver to create pop out images on home page of http://www.TurramurraNaturalBeauty.com.au.

I have changed the target y positioning which works well on Safari and Firefox but not so good on Explorer. Any tips would be appreciated.

Regards

JKH!

For everybody who want some sound effects with highslide I made an example

http://www.cfcms.nl/voorbeelden-van-cfcms-systemen.html

In this case I have used imageFlow and Soundmanager

Soundmanager is easy to use and to set up. Look at there examples on their homepage

Also a youtube expander with the latest JWplayer 4.0 and the youtube GDATA api
http://www.cfcms.nl/youtube-legends-of-jazz.html

Watch the actions in the source as an example
<script type="text/javascript">
hs.Expander.prototype.onAfterClose = function(sender){
closeagain();
};
hs.Expander.prototype.onAfterExpand = function(sender){
playagain();
};
</script>

Jumped in with both feet, commited to Highslide now.

Highslide provided the impetus for me to redesign my site. I had been delaying moving my photos into a proper content managed architecture for some time now, but once I had seen Highslide integrated into Joomla I just had to dive in with both feet.

I wrote a short Python script to generate the Highslide code (runs statically for now) and will at some point in the future make this dynamic. The Python script extracts the IPTC meta data for the image captions.

Hope IÔÇÖve done Highslide justice. Thanks for a great presentation tool.

Highslide is a fantactic project!

Used it in combination with the Google Feeds API to create a nicer front end to my picasa web gallery. Thanks for the storage Google :)

JSV

I used Highslide JS's HTML and iframe extensions to create the Jalbum Skin Viewer:
http://alan927.jalbum.net/Skins/

It gives people the option of seeing how Jalbum skins work before they download them so they can essentially take the skins for a "test drive."

All skins display perfectly regardless of whether they use Flash, Javascript or normal HTML. There are even a couple Highslide JS skins in there! (Boxer, Matrix, Highslide JS)

Thanks to Torstein for both the Highslide JS script and his help in the forum.

Just wanted to say how great highslide is.

I used lightbox on a few projects but wanted something different for a personal site: www.claudiawelsh.com.

Didn't change anything because didn't see the need to. :-)

I'm using highslide with html for a commercial project with a few tweaks here and there so I'll post that link when the site is up.

New highslide example

Just finished my imageflow with highslide example
http://www.imageflow.nl/imageflow-picasa-highslide.php

This app is free for download.
Also checkout my imageflow version with youtube and dailymotion movies

I made these examples just for fun to practice with php, xml and some javascript since I am not really a coder but a consultant.

Updated imageflow so it can be used with Highslide or any embedded movie.
Also added an slideshow and optimized the js code.
Hope you will have some fun with it :)

@Torstein
I added your license requirements. If you have some remarks about this let me know

Apple movie trailers using highslide?

Torstein, is Apple using Highslide on their movie trailer pages? Or is that something different?

edit - no, I see it's some sort of lightbox clone.. got excited there for a minute! :lol:

Showcase

Highslide is a brilliant javascript plugin and I have to thank Torstein for doing a fantastic job maintaining and enhancing the product.

I first found out about Highslide right around its original release date and have been using it ever since.

We use it extensively in our wordpress blog for cakes. I've integrated the latest version of highslide into our cake gallery:

http://blog.pinkcakebox.com/category/pa ... ding-cakes

The gallery is database driven and uses the new slideshow features of Highslide 4.0 along with the caption feature to automatically insert a snippet of text from the post in the caption bar.

I also released a wordpress plugin for highslide to help ease the integration:

Keep up the great work Torstein!

It has been a long time since my last upgrade, so I went from version 3.3.22 to 4.0.7. My site is a travel photo gallery and I was looking forward to this update due to the slide-show feature.

I managed to include the control bar in the captions the way I wanted based on the
"controls-in-caption.html"
and
"example-gallery-controls-in-heading.html"
examples.

A bit more tweaking and the move control was gone. Then I spent all evening trying to make from scratch my own control bar in Inkscape. Here are the results:

Some thank you's are meant more than others. Torstein, this is all yours.

I just wanted to say thank you for such a wonderful script that also happens to be customizable. I have been using popups for years on my galleries on my various websites, and that's very out of date by now, so I decided it was time for an update. i had seen scripts similar to yours being used on other sites, and decided I wanted that. Then when I went looking for a script to use myself, fully expecting that I wouldn't be able to really customize it much, since most of the ones i had seen are always plain white. Then I stumbled across yours in particular, and it was so much nicer than anything I had seen before, and customizable as well! I'm totally in love with this script. right now it's only on my webcomic (launching at the end of November), but I've been so impressed with it it will be going on all my other sites as well.

I haven't done MUCH since I only installed it last night, but i have futzed with the colours, on my webcomics art gallery and character pages.

http://kentauroi.com/art/
http://kentauroi.com/characters/

Nothing fancy, I know. just combined the plain white version with the navigation of the white rounded corners version then tweaked the CSS so it matched my site. I have plans on doing custom navigation buttons, but that will take a while, and I'm happy enough with it as is that it's not a high priority.

My big plans have to do with the map.
http://kentauroi.com/maps/
I plan on taking that image, and making the cities clickable so maps of the individual cities are displayed by by Highslide. I think in this case i will keep the base map in a popup so people can keep it open while reading the comic.

Hi Guys

This is a project to display a clients product in a creative way and HS fit the job perfectly.

Current temp site - http://sandt.beauthosting.com/scripts/o ... p?extra=12

if this link is not working, the site has probably gone live and will be http://www.sandandtilestudio.com.au/scr ... p?extra=12

Click on one of the thumb images at the bottom of the page to open up the HS Dark with gallery navigation. - It certainly shows the images up beautifully.

Love the script, just keep finding more and more useage for it

Thanks

I used it on www.stenclova.cz and liked it so much ended up implementing it on our site www.treforestdesign.com.
