Impact of Highcharts Upgrade on MAPS

Hi,

I have been using HighCharts & Maps for a long time now. The versions I have been using are as follows :-

HighCharts - 8.1.1
@highcharts/map-collection - 1.1.3

With these versions both HighCharts & MAP is working fine.

But Now I have upgraded my Highcharts version from 8.1.1 to 9.2.2. Highmaps collection I have kept as 1.1.3 only. After this upgrade my highmaps is not working and I am not seeing any error even. Just I get a blank white space instead of getting a map. I have upgraded maps-collection to 2.0.0 which is latest and tried as well but the error is same. So I downgraded Highcharts version back to 8.1.1 and I get my MAP without any errors..!!!!!

I finally understood that Highcharts upgrade is creating an impact on MAPS and I am unable to identify how to fix it. Can you please help me in fixing this issue ASAP ??!!

Thanks

Re: Impact of Highcharts Upgrade on MAPS

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us with your question!

I was trying to reproduce your problem - I've checked the different configurations of Highcharts and map collection versions - but in my case, everything is working correctly.

HighCharts v9.2.2 & Highmaps collection v1.1.3 demo:
https://jsfiddle.net/BlackLabel/2ncokyq3/

It seems to your map collection is not correctly imported. Could you reproduce your example of configuration to the online editor?

Re: Impact of Highcharts Upgrade on MAPS

Hi,

I tried to replicate this issue on online editor but I could not do it. Seems like the issue is coming up only on my local application. Only difference I have observed over here is - I am using world-palestine-highres.geo.json this chart instead of world-continents.js

Re: Impact of Highcharts Upgrade on MAPS

Hi,

I've also checked the example with world-palestine-highres.geo.json and works correctly.

Demo:
https://jsfiddle.net/BlackLabel/osqzLd62/

It is hard to tell you what is not working and what could be done without taking look at your code.
I suggest checking all imports again. You could also try to load the map directly from the link:
http://code.highcharts.com/mapdata/cust ... highres.js

Let me know if you have any further questions,
