How to fix missing annotation connecting line?

Hi, I'm experiencing a bug where sometimes annotations are missing a connecting line: https://codepen.io/himmxt/pen/YzNPdVg

The lines appear with "align:left" but disappear with "align: right"

Is this a bug that is possibly fixable?

EDIT: Looks like this bug was marked as "fixed" https://github.com/highcharts/highcharts/issues/14858 but it still seems to exist. Is it possible to have the developers look at this again?
